GREAT FALLS – The Great Falls High boys basketball team welcomed in Bozeman on Saturday in the Bison’s Old Gymnasium.
The Bison started out fast and the AA runner-up Hawks could not recover. Great Falls High stunningly led 40-17 at halftime and went on to pick up one of the team’s biggest wins of the season so far in a 62-47 victory. The Bison were led by Kyle Torgerson with 18 points and Blake Thelen with 17 points. Bozeman was led by Ryan Simpson with 15 points, Ryan Lonergan with 14 points and Carter Ash with 12 points.
The win brings the Bison’s record to 7-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. Bozeman drops to 6-2 and 2-1 in conference play.
Great Falls High will play Havre on the road next on Jan. 25.
