Tuf Cooper biggest winner at Cody Stampede

CODY, Wyo. -- Tuf Cooper won more money than any other contestant at this year's Cody Stampede, collecting almost $10,000 for his efforts in Wyoming over the Fourth of July.

Cooper combined to win $9,706 in tie-down roping and steer roping. He split the tie-down win with West Smith in 8.0 seconds and placed second in the second round of steer roping in 9.1.

This year's total purse was $297,350.
