LAS VEGAS -- Haven Meged, the No. 2 man in the world standings in the tie-down roping, is making his first appearance at the Wrangler National Finals.
“It’s just been an unbelievable experience for me, becoming a rookie this year, being able to make the National Finals in my rookie year, I mean, there aren’t many people that made the National Finals and the Canadian National Finals, so it’s honestly just a blessing to be in the place where I’m at in my life right now," the Miles City cowboy said Thursday.
Meged is aiming to add to a resume that already includes College National Finals champion, Montana Circuit champ and Dodge Ram Circuit Finals champ. A world title is now on his mind. Jeff Marn, the voice of Montana Pro Rodeo, and Vance Ruff caught up with Meged on Thursday in Las Vegas. Listen to the interview by clicking here.
The NFR kicked off Thursday and runs through Dec. 14 at the Thomas & Mack Center.
