HELENA -- The Class AA state golf tournament was moved up one day to avoid more adverse weather in the forecast. Meadowlark Country Club was slated to host the event, with opening tee times originally scheduled for Thursday morning. The invitational was then pushed to Oct. 8-9 at MLCC earlier this week, before being moved up to Oct. 7-8 in a decision made Friday.

The practice round will be held Sunday, with competition teeing off on Monday and concluding Tuesday.

The Montana High School Association released the following statement on Friday morning:

“Due to the poor weather forecast in Great Falls next Wednesday the Class AA State Golf Tournament scheduled for October 8-9 (Tuesday / Wednesday) has been moved to October 7-8 (Monday and Tuesday). The tournament will remain in Great Falls at the Meadowlark Country Club.”
