CORVALLIS — Through the wind and the rain, Billings Central left Corvallis victorious thanks to a goal from Sam Dull in the 77th minute to lift the Rams to a 1-0 win over the Blue Devils in the Class A boys soccer quarterfinals.
After a back-and-forth game with plenty of close attempts, Dull finally broke free after teammate Jan Mollemeier headed the ball his way on a break and Dull did the rest as he beat the Corvallis keeper for the score. Dull immediately turned and celebrated with his teammates after the breakthrough goal.
Corvallis had one last opportunity on a corner kick but that was saved and the Rams advanced to the semifinals with the victory.
