BIG SKY - Yellowstone Club assistant pro Andrew Cortez shot an opening-round 71 Monday at Big Sky Resort Golf Course to lead the RMSPGA Yellowstone Chapter Championship.
Cortez's 1-under score gives him a one-stroke lead over Black Bull head pro Kelbi Lee (72), who's brother Renzi is the head pro at Lake Hills in Billings and sits third with a 74.
The Championship is being contested at the 6,800 yard, par 72, layout at Big Sky with the final round on Tuesday starting at 9:30 a.m.
