BIG SKY - Every year someone from somewhere does a “study” on how much money you could make (a whole lot) if you just shot par every round on The PGA TOUR. Well, par was actually one better than Kelbi Lee, PGA Head Professional at Black Bull in Bozeman, Mont., needed to capture the 2019 RMSPGA Yellowstone Chapter Championship.

After a first round of even-par, 72, left Lee one shot off the lead, he matched his first day’s effort with another 72 to finish 2 shots clear of first round leader Andrew Cortez, PGA Assistant Professional at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Mont. Kelbi’s brother, Renzi Lee, PGA Head Professional at Lake Hills Golf Club in Billings, Mont., maintained his 3rd place position on the leaderboard finishing 5 shots off the champion’s pace. Both Kelbi and Renzi are graduates of Billings Senior High School.

This victory by Kelbi Lee caps off an impressive 30-day stretch where he also won the Section Championship last month.

The 2019 JC Golf Accessories RMSPGA Yellowstone Chapter Championship, supported by Antigua, The PGA TOUR and OMEGA was contested at the 6,800 yard, par 72, layout at Big Sky (Montana) Resort Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday, September 23-24.
