Montana State Bobcats not underestimating Norfolk State

BOZEMAN -- The Montana State Bobcats continue to rise through the FCS rankings, coming in at eighth in the country in this week's STATS FCS poll.

Their next challenge doesn't seem to pose as big of threat as the past two weeks as MSU welcomes in Norfolk State to Bozeman on Saturday. The Spartans are 1-2 on the season, having just lost to Coastal Carolina 46-7 last week.

Meanwhile, Montana State has a win over a top-25 FCS opponent, Southeast Missouri State, and its sole loss came at Texas Tech.

Although the Bobcats are going to be heavy favorites against Norfolk State, they aren't taking their competition lightly.

"We treat every week like it's championship week just because of how good teams view us -- they want to knock us off and they want to beat us. This is a dangerous team, this is a good team and we are not just going to go in there and wake up and beat them," said MSU senior cornerback Damien Washington "That's what championship teams do, they take every week seriously and not look towards these three games that we have have that are important."
