Montana State will be the No. 3 seed for the Big Sky Conference spring volleyball championship, which will run March 31 through April 2 on the campus of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo.

The Bobcats have had one of the best seasons in program history. They finished the regular season with a 10-4 record after dropping their final two matches at Weber State last week. The Wildcats (15-1) are the No. 1 seed for the Big Sky tournament, followed by No. 2 Northern Colorado (13-3). Sacramento State (10-6) is the fourth seed and Northern Arizona (9-5) the fifth, as the Hornets and Lumberjacks will start the tournament at 10:30 a.m. on March 31.

Weber State will play eighth-seeded Eastern Washington (5-11) in the next game, before Montana State meets No. 6 Southern Utah (8-6) in the third game of the tournament. The Bobcats and Thunderbirds, who had their regular-season series canceled, are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on March 31. No. 2 Northern Colorado and No. 7 Idaho (5-9) will play the final first-round game to wrap up the first day's action.

The semifinal matches are slated for April 1 and the championship April 2. The winner of the championship receives the Big Sky’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. The 48-team bracket for the NCAA Tournament will be announced on April 4.

All Big Sky tournament matches will be streamed for free on Pluto TV Channel 1050 and WatchBigSky.com.

Portland State, Idaho State and Montana did not qualify for the tournament.
