MISSOULA — Montana's men's basketball games with Idaho scheduled for March 4 and 6 have been canceled, per UM.

The games were canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within Idaho's program.

The series was the regular-season finale for the Grizzlies and Vandals, meaning UM finishes the regular season 11-12 and 7-9 in Big Sky Conference play. Idaho is 1-20 and 1-17 in conference play, having recently defeated Montana State last Friday. The Grizzlies were coming off of their first season sweep of a conference opponent this season with two wins over Idaho State.

As it stands, Montana currently sits as the No. 8 seed heading into the Big Sky Conference tournament in Boise, Idaho, which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, March 10 for the men. Northern Colorado (10-9, 6-7) is a half-game ahead of Montana at No. 7 while Portland State (9-10, 6-6) is one game in front of the Grizzlies, sitting at No. 6 in the standings.
