MISSOULA — Last week the Montana Grizzlies went into a tough battle with the 15th-ranked FBS program in the nation.
One of their hardest tests was getting through the experienced offensive line of Oregon. In Week 4, Montana faces a similar test with another veteran front.
The Ducks' offensive line was the most experienced offensive line in all of college football headed into the 2019 season and it showed last week. The Griz face another veteran front as they take on Monmouth at home this week.
The Hawks' front features four seniors and one junior on the line. Monmouth also has the same record as Montana coming in, 2-1 on the year and 2-0 against FCS foes.
Headed into the last non-conference game, Montana coach Bobby Hauck wants the Griz crowd to show up.
"This is a huge game for us. We need our crowd to be here and be ready to go and try to be disruptive. This is a really, really quality opponent who's been in the playoffs two years ago, 2017 they were in the playoffs. They did not make it last year, like us, so we've got our hands full with these guys," said Hauck.
Montana takes on Monmouth Saturday at 1 p.m.
