MISSOULA — The No. 19 Montana Grizzlies are coming off their third win in the FCS this season but face arguably their toughest FCS opponent of the year when they go down to UC Davis on Saturday to take on the No. 4 Aggies.
While the entire Montana team is performing well, offensive captain and quarterback Dalton Sneed has been locked in. Through four games he has tallied more than 1,200 yards and has accounted for 10 touchdowns.
But Sneed has turned the ball over a fair amount with four interceptions on the year. Last year at Davis he had three interceptions and says he hasn't forgotten that or any of his turnovers.
"Absolutely, that involves every game we played the past four games. The moral story there is, take care of the football. When you take care of the football you win games and put yourself in a good position. That's the No. 1 thing on my list and the offense as a whole, to take care of the football," said the senior quarterback.
Montana and UC Davis kick off at 2 p.m. (MDT) Saturday in the Big Sky Conference opener for both teams.
