CASPER, Wyo. – Coby Johnon, riding for Wyoming’s Sheridan College, became the first man to ride three bulls at the 71st College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR). Johnson, a freshman from Firth, Idaho, won the third round on Friday night with an 83-point ride on Frontier Rodeo’s bull Over The Top.

The second-generation CNFR qualifier, an animal science major, will have a one-round lead over the other bull riders in the top 12 who will compete Saturday night in the championship finals. Second place is Daylon Swearingen from Panola Junior College with 161 points.
Bridger Anderson, who rides for Northwestern Oklahoma State University and is from Carrington, North Dakota, took the overall lead in steer wrestling on Friday as well.
