GREEN BAY, Wis. – After an action-packed weekend at the Resch Center in Green Bay, 2016 World Champion Cooper Davis (Jasper, Texas) collected his first PBR (Professional Bull Riders) elite series win of the 2019 season at the PBR Unleash The Beast, Green Bay Invitational, presented by Oneida Casino and North Star Mohican Casino Resort.

Davis was the only competitor to go a perfect 3-for-3 during the intense weekend with precious world points on the line. He won with a crowd-pleasing 89.25-point ride aboard Stretch (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve/Heald Pro Bulls) in the championship round Sunday afternoon. Davis entered the championship round in the No. 2 spot, right behind event leader Jess Lockwood (Volborg, Montana), after making the 8 earlier in the day on Speed Demon (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve/Heald Pro Bulls) for 88.5 points.

The Texas cowboy earned 530 world points and a $38,775 paycheck in the victory. The event win moves Davis from the No. 9 spot in the world standings to No. 6 in his quest to move into the Top 5.

Although the rank Big Black (K-C Bucking Bulls/Joe & Nina Webb) bucked Lockwood off in the championship round, the 2017 World Champion held his No. 4 spot in the world standings and finished second overall during PBR’s inaugural visit to Green Bay. During Round 2, Lockwood conquered South Texas Gangster (Dakota Rodeo/Julie Rosen/Clay Struve/Chad Berger) for 89.75. For his efforts, the Montana cowboy earned 400 points toward the world standings and $19,230.

After winning the WCRA Titletown Stampede on Saturday night, veteran rider Joao Ricardo Vieira (Itatinga, Sao Paulo, Brazil) was a man on a mission as he collected a third-place finish and moved up to the No. 2 spot in the world standings. Coming into the weekend, Vieira sat in the No. 3 position in the standings, just behind Chase Outlaw (Hamburg, Arkansas). In the championship round, the tough Brazilian rode Shownuff (Blake Sharp/Henry Wilson) for an impressive 89.75-point score. Earlier in the day, Vieira conquered Slingin Tears (Blake Sharp/Caveman Bucking Bulls) during Round 2 with an 88.5-point ride. Vieira leaves Wisconsin with 335 world points and a check for $17,275 to add to his 195 points and $74,777.75 in WCRA winnings.

Outlaw rode Ol’ Boy (Dakota Rodeo- Chad Berger/ Clay Struve/ Ken Barnhard) in Round 1 on Friday night, but he was shut out on Sunday when he bucked off Jungle Can Do (Dakota Rodeo/ Chad Berger/ Clay Struve/ Diamond Willow) in Round 2. The Arkansas cowboy did not earn any world points in Green Bay and dropped to No. 3 in the world standings.

Brennon Eldred (Sulphur, Oklahoma) hit the dirt early in the championship round while atop Cochise (Jane Clark/Gene Owen), but still finished fourth for the weekend. In Round 2, Eldred covered Red Bandana (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve/Staci Wilks/N Bar N Ranch/Chase Bass) for 86.5 points as the Green Bay crowd cheered. The Oklahoma collected a paycheck for $6,900 and 165 world points, moving him from No. 30 in the world standings to No. 22.

Rounding out the Top 5 was Round 1 winner Derek Kolbaba (Walla Walla, Washington). During the championship round he bucked off Biker Bob (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve/H&C Bucking Bulls) after 2.73 seconds. However, earlier in Round 2, he fired out of the chutes aboard Bugle Boy (Blake Sharp) for 84.75 points. For his efforts he earned a paycheck for $8,230 and 165 world points, which lands him in the No. 8 spot in the world standings.

Smooth Wreck (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve/Diamond Willow) and Sky Harbor (Chad Berger/Clay Struve/Wilks Ranch/Paradigm Bull Co) tied for the YETI “Built for the Wild” Bull of the Event with matching 45.5 bull scores. Smooth Wreck exploded from the chutes like a pack of dynamite and dispatched Luciano de Castro (Guzolandia, Brazil) in 7.82 seconds, while Sky Harbor also brought the heat, bucking off Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, Brazil) early in the ride at 3.62 seconds.

Action from Round 2 and the championship round can be seen in its entirety on RidePass.com or via the RidePass mobile app starting on Monday, June 3 at 8 a.m. ET.

The Top 35 bull riders in the world will next head to Cheyenne, Wyoming for the PBR Major Last Cowboy Standing at the historic Cheyenne Frontier Days July 22- 23.
