Highlights: Night 1 of the Bozeman Stampede

BOZEMAN — The PRCA-sanctioned event was back in Bozeman for its ninth annual rodeo stampede.

Cowboys from all over Montana and the west traveled to Bozeman to earn their stripes in events like bareback riding and steer wrestling.

On Night 1, Dillon native Josh Boka won steer wrestling in 4.7 seconds. Keeping it in the state, Chase Brooks landed a first-place spot in saddle bronc riding with an 84.

Night 2 begins Friday at 7 p.m. at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.
