GREAT FALLS — Poplar native Hunter Azure has scheduled his next fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

According to multiple outlets, Azure is set to fight undefeated bantamweight Jack Shore on April 10, though a location and venue have yet to be determined.

Azure (9-1, 2-1 UFC) is coming off an unanimous decision win over Cole Smith in September in his third UFC fight. Shore, from Wales, is undefeated at 13-0 overall, with a 2-0 mark in the UFC.

In his previous two fights, Azure defeated Brad Katona by unanimous decision in his UFC debut before suffering a knockout defeat to Brian Kelleher in May of 2020.

Azure was a four-time Montana high school wrestling state champion at Class B Poplar before going on to wrestle at MSU-Northern. He started his MMA career at the amateur level in 2017, and turned professional later that same year.

After compiling a 6-0 record as a pro, Azure secured a UFC contract following a unanimous decision win on Dana White’s Contender Series in July of 2019.
