Billings Mustangs rack up 11 hits, defeat Great Falls Voyagers 7-2

GREAT FALLS– The Billings Mustangs scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back as they defeated the Great Falls Voyagers 7-2 at Centene Stadium on Monday.

TJ Hopkins started the scoring with an RBI single, driving in Quin Cotton, before James Free drove an opposite field home run to right to put Billings up 3-0 in the first. Great Falls responded with a run in the bottom of the first when Joshua Rivera hit a sac fly to center to score Cabrera Weaver.

Luis Mieses hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth for the Voyagers, who fall to 18-23 on the season, while Billings climbs to 18-24.
