HELENA — The Helena Senators put up four runs in the bottom of the third inning on a bases-clearing triple by Zach Spiroff and a sacrifice bunt by Grady Koenig en route to a 7-1 American Legion Baseball win over the Missoula Mavericks on Wednesday at Kindrick Legion Field.

Koenig went 0-for-1 on the day but still managed to rack up a pair of runs batted in thanks to a sacrifice fly in the second that brought in Chase Nielson and the sacrifice bunt in the third.

The only Mavericks run on Wednesday evening came on a two-out single by Andrew Clausen to score Bridger Johnson.

Ethan Keintz shined for the Senators, pitching a complete game and giving up eight hits while recording two strikeouts.

The Mavericks will open a three-game series against the Great Falls Chargers on July 12 at 7 p.m.

The Senators will stay at home on July 12 when they play host to a team from Lakeside, Ore. at 7 p.m.
