BUTTE – The Butte Miners played their 2019 home finale tonight against the Anaconda A’s at Three Legends field on Friday night.
Anaconda got out to a good start and had two runners in scoring position in the top of the first, but Butte pitcher Ryan Wahl slammed that door shut with a big strikeout to get out of the jam. His offense would respond with fury in the home half of the first. RBIs from Eagan Lester, Casey Kautzman and Wahl opened up a 8-0 lead heading into the second. The A’s couldn’t respond until the third and couldn’t claw their way back into this game.
Butte picks up the home finale win, 18-6.
