BUTTE — The Butte Miners hosted the Belgrade Bandits in a doubleheader Tuesday at Three Legends Field.
Belgrade struck first in the top of the first inning off an RBI single from pitcher Coby Richards. However, Butte got out of a jam thanks to a pair of strikeouts from Rylan Richards to keep it 1-0 heading into the bottom of the first. But Richards did a little bit of everything for the Bandits as he fanned seven batters in six innings pitched as Belgrade took the first game 10-1 over Butte.
Game 2 was more of the same from the Bandits as they poured on 13 runs in a 13-2 win over the Miners to take the sweep on the road.
