BOZEMAN – The Bozeman Bucks and Kalispell Lakers took to Legion field earlier today for a class AA legion doubleheader. The weather and plating conditions were absolutely perfect for baseball this afternoon.

Game one was all Bozeman as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning. Bucks hurler Sage McMinn threw a 5-inning complete game shutout to silence the Lakers offense. McMinn only allowed three hits, and struck out three. McMinn didn’t stop there as he led all batters with four RBI’s in game one as Bozeman cruises to a 10-0 win.

Game two was a little bit closer. Kalispell jumped out to  5-1 lead early, but the Bucks stormed back and re-took the lead in the 5th. From there they would pour it on and outscore the Lakers 6-1 in the final two innings. Kehler Murfitt and Alton Gyselman combined for 4 RBI’s in game two,and the pitching finally settled down to shut down the Lakers yet again.  Four Bucks pitchers combined for four earned runs and six strikeouts as Bozeman completes the sweep winning game two by a final of 12-6. They play tomorrow in a Mother’s Day doubleheader against Bitteroot. First pitch is at 1 p.m.
