BUTTE – The Butte Miners hosted rival Dillon in a Class A Legion baseball matchup at Three Legends Field Friday night.
Dillon jumped to a 3-0 lead in the top of the 1st after a two-run single from Preston Hales. The Miners responded thanks to an RBI triple from Peyton Hettick that would jump start their offense early on. Thanks to a variety of walks, wild pitches and clean hits, Butte took a 6-3 lead into the second inning.
From there the Miners would outscore the Cubs 9-2 and win by a final of 15-5.
