BOZEMAN — In the last game of the season on Monday at Heroes Legion Field, the Bozeman Bucks fell to Idaho Falls 7-5.
The Bucks showed out early, jumping to a 5-0 lead at the bottom of the fourth inning.
Both teams went scoreless in the fifth, but the Bandits caught wind in the top of the sixth, scoring three runs and cutting the lead to two.
The Bandits’ hitting was too hot to catch thanks to Cannon Thompson and Tavyn Lords, and Idaho Falls went on to beat the Bucks 7-5 in eight innings.
The Bucks will be heading to Kalispell this week to play in the state tournament on Saturday. They are seeded first in the tournament with a 16-6 conference record.
