BOZEMAN — At first glance, the first thing passersby is the MX Pro Shop garage attached to the house of Jason and Valerie Lambrecht.

But when they go take a peek at their backyard, all their childhood dreams will come back to life.

“Back in 2002 I bought this property with a goal in mind and a dream to be able to build something like this," said Jason Lambrecht, MX Pro Shop owner.

Building a dirt bike track in the backyard has its challenges. But the Lambrechts pushed through with the help of the community.

“Making it without local support would be really tough," Jason added. "I had a vision, I had ideas, but without the help of other people there was no way to execute it properly.”

After they dug up all the rocks, the jumps and the obstacles all began to fall into place, and the riders were shocked to see the final product.

“Oh, I was just absolutely blown away. You know, coming to work here and seeing there’s a track in the backyard we can test bikes on and train on is insane," said MX Pro Shop employee Arri Jillard.

A big part of MX Pro Shop is its commitment to serving the community.

“We’ve brought in kids who have had troubled families where they needed to get away and have some type of discipline for an outlet," said Valerie Lambrecht. "And it’s really helped them.”

From helping families reconnect to spreading the sport across Montana, the Lambrechts hold a treasure for the Gallatin Valley.

“There isn’t a day that I wake up that I don’t look out on the back deck and just feel absolutely blessed to have been able to bring this to our community," Jason added. "And our kids, it’s awesome.”
