Billings Aquatic Club swimmers racing through sectionals in Washington

BILLINGS – A handful of swimmers from the Billings Aquatic Club are turning heads this week at the 2019 Speedo Spring Sectional Championships in Federal Way, Washington.

Ethan Harder, who is committed to the University of Texas, broke the meet record in the 200 fly in 1:43.51, according to Harder’s mother Pam. That’s also a state record and a new mark for the Billings Aquatic Club.

Peter Thompson placed third and Jack Leuthold (University of Wisconsin) seventh in the 1,000 free. Thompson captured state and club records with a time of 9:05.95 and just missed the senior national cut by one second.

Rylee O’Neil broke a team record in the 200 fly in 2:03.3.

Liam Kerns set the new BAC 15-16 team record in the 200 breaststroke in 2:07.5.

Mason Johnson was also a BAC record setter in the 17 & Over 200 breaststroke clocking in at 2:11.1.
