Great Falls Americans down Gillette 5-2

GREAT FALLS – The Great Falls Americans hockey team hosted the Gillette (Wyo.) Wild on Saturday at the Great Falls IcePlex. The Americans came way with a 5-2 victory to increase the team’s record to 8-1 on the year and sit at second place in the Frontier Division. Gillette falls to 2-4 on the year.

Jens Juliussen led the Americans with two goals. Matt Janke, Payton McSharry and Jack Olson also picked up goals for Great Falls.

The Americans will go on the road next on Oct. 11 to play the Bozeman Icedogs. The game starts at 7:30 p.m.
