HELENA — Helena is home to the climbing world this week.
The National Speleological Society’s (NSS) National Convention is in the Capital City until Friday with the Speleolympics being held Thursday at the Broadwater Hotel property on Highway 12.
For the uninitiated, the Speleolympics are an obstacle-style competition mimicking the skills one would need in spelunking (or cave climbing). The event caps off a week of workshops on rappelling, rescues, outdoor exploration and conservation.
