MISSOULA – In the past few weeks we’ve profiled Sean Ryan, a golfer walking every course in Montana, and Sunday we caught up with two people out on a similar goal in a similar sport. Erik and Alison Siersdale have been traveling the United States to play a disc golf course in all 50 states.
From Hawaii and California to Florida and New York, they have been to every state and have ended their journey in the 406.
Erik says they began their journey from a combined love of the sport with his wife’s love to travel. When MTN Sports caught up with them, they said not only the courses were great, but so were the experiences they’ve had along the way.
”Montana has been a really good example of what mountain golf is like. When you are actually throwing discs up at altitude, they fly just a little bit different, but the views are unmatched. Some of our best states have been really in the Rocky Mountains,” said Erik.
“People are ridiculously nice here. I feel like I don’t need to know anything and I could ask anyone on the street to give me a good recommendation, direct me in the right way,” said Alison.
