HELENA– The weather gods smiled on Kindrick Legion field in Helena Wednesday for the Helena Senators and Kalispell Lakers to play a makeup doubleheader for Tuesday’s rainout.
Game one was going in favor of the road team with the Lakers scoring two runs in the first and keeping it scoreless until the fourth, when the Helena offense opened things up, scoring six runs.
The game would go down to the wire, but Helena pulled out the 8-7 win.
In game two, the Senators fell behind 5-1 in the fourth inning, but once again Helena fought back to win another close game, 6-5.
