BELGRADE — The Belgrade Bandits opened up their 2018 home campaign in style, beating Powell (Wyoming) by the mercy rule in both games of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.
The Bandits won the first game 10-0, thanks to an all-around effort, topped by a one-hit, 10-strikeout performance from Coby Richards. The home team won 10-0 in five innings.
Belgrade continued its hot start in the second game, scoring six runs in the first inning en route to an 11-1 victory in six innings.
The Bandits will face the Bozeman Bucks on Wednesday.
