BOZEMAN – The Winter Olympics wrapped up on Saturday. But the weeks of competition inspired many young Montana skiers and snowboarders to hit the slopes. Over the weekend, about 60 competitors of all ages took to Bridger Bowl for their Terrain Park Jam.
Riders threw down their biggest tricks in front of a panel of judges. The event focuses on creativity, style, but most importantly having fun and supporting the other participants.
“I like the jumps just because like they’re pretty big and you get a lot of air time and it feels like you’re just floating,” said Harrison Hoffamn, a 10-year-old participant in the event. “It’s just a great sport and just the feeling of it is amazing. I just love the sport.”
Who knows, someday these daredevils could grow up to become the Olympians of tomorrow.
