GREAT FALLS – For the Bareback event, Cowley, Montana’s J.R. Vezain had another big ride while riding Painted Brush for a score of 84. But he would have to share the lead tonight because Helena native Chase Erickson had a great ride himself atop the horse Bad Moon. He also would score an 84, and both men split the win and share a gold buckle.
For the Team Roping Event, the night was won by Worden, Montana’s Delon Parker and Powell, Wyomings Ryan Zurcher. They both score 4.6 seconds and that would be first on the night. Cut Bank’s Dustin Bird and Helena’s Chase Tryan have a second straight spectacular night as the 2 cowboys rack up 5.3 seconds, and that’s good enough to keep them in first place heading into the final day on Sunday.
For Steer Wrestling, The night is won by Columbus, Montana’s Will Stovall. The cowboy marks 4.6 seconds here as he wrestles his steer to the ground. Helena’s Ty Erickson had a no-time time in his run.
For the Sadle Bronc event, J.C. DeSaveur from Roberts, Montana rode the horse called Fool Hearted. He finished with a 72, good for second place on the night.
