MISSOULA – The DiMatteo family showed their love of Missoula hockey last year. Now the community is showing their love to the family in a very difficult time. Missoula Bruins owner Jason DiMatteo is in an Intensive Care Unit in Spokane.
The father of five young boys has had several complications from a liver infection. He is currently in a medically induced coma awaiting another operation Tuesday. A Gofundme site started earlier Monday has already raised nearly 10,000 dollars for Jason and his wife Liz, to help with the costs of treatment. You can find out how to donate here.
After the Maulers folded last May, the DiMatteo’s stepped in and created the Bruins, keeping junior hockey in Missoula.
