Tres Tinkle’s career night leads Oregon State to 3rd-place finish at Paradise Jam

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — Tres Tinkle scored a career-high 32 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Oregon State past Pennsylvania 74-58 in Monday night’s third-place game at the Paradise Jam.

Tinkle, a two-time Montana Gatorade player of the year at Missoula Hellgate, shot 12 of 20 from the field, going 4 for 7 from downtown and making 4 of 6 at the line. Tinkle has racked up four consecutive double-doubles in Oregon State’s 4-1 start. Through five games, Tinkle is averaging a team-highs of 21.8 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists. He’s shooting 51.8 percent from the field and 40.7 percent from 3-point range.

The Beavers return to the mainland to take on Long Beach State on the road on Sunday, Nov. 25.
