Registration open for MSU Billings boys basketball camps

BILLINGS – Three boys basketball camps, hosted by the Montana State University Billings men’s basketball team, will be offered between May 24 and June 6 at Alterowitz Gym, and registration is now open.

The camps are for boys ranging from grades 3-12, with offerings including Day Camp, High School Elite Camp, and High School Team Camp. The camps will be led by MSUB head coach Mick Durham and assistant coach Bobby Howard, along with players from the Yellowjacket basketball team.

HIGH SCHOOL TEAM CAMP (May 24-26): This tournament includes a 4-game guarantee. Each game consists of two 20-minute halves, using running clock. Scorers and timers will be provided by MSUB and all players will receive a camp t-shirt. Housing will also be available for teams at an additional cost. Price is $250.00 for varsity teams and $225 for sub-varsity.

DAY CAMP (June 3-5, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.): Cost for day camp is $100 per player in grades 3-8. Each participant will receive an MSUB basketball camp t-shirt and get to spend time with current MSUB men’s student athletes. The NCAA Division II coaching staff will lead skills and drills which will help develop fundamental skills. The goal of the camp is to learn, improve, and most of all have fun.

HIGH SCHOOL ELITE CAMP (June 5-6): The elite camp will focus on advanced position work, as well as fundamental skills to help prepare athletes for their upcoming high school season and beyond. All facets of the game will be covered and participants will develop skills necessary for successful team play and apply those skills in game situations. Cost is $100 for residents and $75 for commuters.

The MSU Billings basketball team recently completed their first winning season in seven years under first year head coach and Montana native Mick Durham.
