BILLINGS – The Montana State University Billings men’s basketball team lost 75-73 to California State University Dominguez Hills on a 3-point shot with just one second to play by Mikey Hatfield in the first game of the MSUB Thanksgiving Tournament at Alterowitz Gymnasium Friday night.
The teams exchanged the lead 11 times and the score remained within a five-point differential through most of the night.
Tyler Green led the MSU Billings scoring with 19 points while the Toros were paced by Jayvon Brown, who also cashed in with 19 points.
Hatfield only scored 12 points and two triples, but it was his corner pocket 3 with 1.3 seconds left that broke the hearts of the Yellowjacket faithful.
