GLENDIVE – Donterious Perry, of Conroe, Texas, has committed to run cross country and track for Dawson Community College.

Perry brings experience in both sports, and holds personal best times of 18:31.96 (5k) for cross country, 52.92 for 400 meters, and 2:09.41 for 800 meters.

“I chose Dawson Community College for the great opportunity to continue my running career as a collegiate athlete, and also for the opportunities it offers in academics,” Perry said. “I have ran cross country all through junior high and all four years of high school, and the experience has been great. I am looking forward to joining my teammates this fall to train and prepare for competition.”

“I believe Donterious can become an outstanding collegiate runner,” said DCC head coach Ben Sandy. “Since he has ran cross country since junior high, this shows me his level of dedication to a tough sport and also shows he enjoys running. I am looking forward to helping him reach his running goals and helping him grow as a student, athlete, and person.”
