GLENDIVE – Nick Redgrave from St. Labre Indian Catholic High School in Ashland, Montana has signed on to run cross country and track for the Buccaneers.
“I chose Dawson to see what I’m fully capable of with running and to see how much more I can improve, as well as to get a quality education,” Redgrave said.
Redgrave brings two years of lettering in cross country and four years of lettering in track (after this season) to Dawson. He is looking forward to his last track season to go above and beyond his current personal best times of 54.74 in the 400m and 2:09.92 for the 800m. He was the top scorer in points for his track team in his junior year and was most improved in his sophomore year. Nick has been equally strong in his academics and also showcases strong character as he has earned several SOAR (Students Owning and Accepting Responsibility) awards.
“I am excited for Nick,” said head coach Ben Sandy. “Seeing his energy while on his campus tour, and his excitement towards wanting to become a better runner, I know he has the attitude needed to achieve high goals as a runner.”
