(DCC Athletics release)

GLENDIVE – Dawson Community College Head Softball Coach Jim LeProwse is pleased to announce that Custer County High School standout Raqi McAuliffe has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Dawson next season.

Raqi was a second team all-conference selection in 2018. Raqi was one of the Cowgirls top hitters this past season.

Raqi is also a great player on defense. She has great arm strength and blocks the ball real well as a catcher. She does a great job of limiting opposing teams from stealing bases.

Coach LeProwse had this to say, “Raqi is a great addition to our softball program at Dawson. She plays extremely hard and has a strong desire to compete and win. She possesses a tremendous amount of power. I expect Raqi to make an immediate impact at Dawson next season. I am extremely happy that she chose to continue her education and play softball at Dawson.”
