GLENDIVE – Dawson Community College head softball coach Jim LeProwse recently announced the signing of Helena Capital standout April Davis.
Davis was a 2018 all-conference and all-state selection showcasing a .475 batting average with 26 RBIs. Defensively, the DCC staff says she blocks the ball well as a catcher, has great arm strength and limits opposing teams from stealing bases.
“April is a fantastic addition to our softball program at Dawson,” said LeProwse. “Coach Tami Johnson and I went to the state AA tournament this year and April immediately caught our attention. She plays extremely hard and her focus is always on the game. She also comes from a great high school program at Helena Capital. I expect April to make an immediate impact at Dawson this season. I am extremely happy that she chose to play at Dawson.”
