Registration open for MSU Billings summer soccer camps

BILLINGS – A full slate of summer camps offered by the Montana State University Billings men’s and women’s soccer teams is available for registration, and will run from June through August.

The Yellowjacket men’s soccer program will offer its annual Summer College ID Camp from June 23-24, its Youth Summer Camp from June 25-29, and its Goalkeeper Camp from August 6-10.

On the women’s side, the Girls Overnight Camp is from June 18-21, the Summer College ID Camp is from July 21-22, and the Little Yellowjacket Summer Academy runs July 30-Aug. 3.

Instruction will be provided by the coaching staffs as well as MSUB student-athletes at all summer camps, led by men’s head coach Alex Balog and women’s head coach Stephen Cavallo. All camps will take place at Yellowjacket Field, located on the MSUB City College campus in Billings at the crossing of Shiloh Road and Central Ave. Registration is open now online for the women’s camps here and for the men’s camps here.

The Yellowjackets are excited to offer their annual College ID Camp, which has ultimately provided more than 75 players with an offer to play college soccer since the summer of 2013. Both the men’s and women’s ID camps are for high school juniors and seniors, junior college players, and four-year transfers.

The men’s ID camp costs $299, which includes overnight lodging and meals for the two days, as well as a campus tour of MSUB and an informational session. The cost to attend only the camp portion is $145, and college coaches from the area will be in attendance to scout. More information, including registration, can be found online here.

The cost of the women’s ID camp is $225 including food and lodging, and $99 to attend the camp only. Further registration details for the women’s ID camp can be found here.

For youth players there are several options throughout the summer. On the men’s side, the Youth Summer Camp is for boys and girls ages 5-14, and will run daily from 9 a.m.-noon from June 25-29. The cost is $109 which includes a soccer ball and a t-shirt, and opportunities for team rates are available. Details and registration can be found online here.

The men’s Goalkeeper Camp is also for players of all ages and skill levels, and runs daily from 9-11 a.m. from Aug. 6-10. The cost is $129 per player, including a soccer ball and t-shirt. For more details and to register, click here.

On the women’s side, the Girls Overnight Camp is for girls entering grades 3-through-12, and includes overnight lodging in the MSUB residence halls from June 18-21. There is a $15 discount for early registration, at $375 per resident camper and $290 per commuter camper before June 8. Registration is $390 per resident camper and $305 per commuter camper after June 8, and there is a 10 percent discount for groups of eight or more players.

The overnight camp is limited to 100 campers, and includes a trip to Reef Indoor Water Park. For full details and to register for the Girls Overnight Camp, click here.

The Little Yellowjacket Summer Academy is for boys and girls ages 5-10, and runs daily from 9-10 a.m. from July 30-Aug. 3. Cost is $75 per player and a t-shirt is included. Registration details are available online here.
