BILLINGS – The Montana State University Billings men’s basketball team has added more depth on the wing with the addition of Livingston’s Jordan Lehrer on Monday. The 6-foot-5-inch forward will transfer as a junior after spending two seasons at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore.

“Jordan’s athletic ability will provide us with some needed depth on the wing,” head coach Mick Durham said of the junior. ”He wanted to come back to Montana to play basketball and finish out his degree in Kinesiology. He was a great leader at Umpqua and we’re looking forward to Jordan bringing those qualities to MSUB.”

Playing in 25 games with five starts as a sophomore, Lehrer averaged 7.3 points and 4.8 rebounds on an 18-11 team. He was second on the team in blocks, totaling 19 throughout the season while adding 12 steals. He had two double-doubles, both in wins, and a season-high 17 points in a 99-95 win over Southwestern Oregon. Lehrer was selected as a captain for the RiverHawks last season.

At Park High School, he finished his career with consecutive all-conference selections after lettering for three seasons with the Rangers. He was a two-time captain on the Park basketball team and won letters for football, track and tennis as a prep.

Lehrer played with fellow MSUB commit Jakim Ricketts at Park High School. He is the fourth Montanan to join the Yellowjackets since the arrival of Coach Durham. In his first class at MSUB, Durham has added significant size to the roster with four of the five additions standing 6-foot-4-inches or taller.
