GLENDIVE – Dawson Community College freshman Joey Hagen has signed his National Letter of Intent with NCAA DII, Salem University in West Virginia, DCC announced Monday.
Hagain is a right handed pitcher from Novia Scotia, Canada, who threw 28.1 innings with a team leading 29 strikeouts.
“Hagen is a great young man, very mature and a great work ethic,” said Buccaneers head coach Chris Lewis. “We expected him to be a back end arm for us to close games after the fall. He got a start on the spring break trip and was lights out for us. He ran into a little shoulder impingement in the middle of the season, but as we expected, he competed through it. Joey is going to have a bright future at the next level and we are excited to follow his career.”
