CORVALLIS, Ore. – It will be Oregon State vs. Old Dominion in the opening round of the 2018 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam.
The Beavers will face the Monarchs at 2 p.m. AST (11 a.m. MST) on Friday, Nov. 16 at the University of the Virgin Islands’ Sports and Fitness Center in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Oregon State will take on Missouri or Kennesaw State in its second game. Northern Iowa, Penn, Eastern Kentucky and Kansas State are on the other side of the bracket.
Teams that win their first game will have a one-day respite, before playing in the semifinals on Sunday, Nov. 18. Teams that lose their first game will compete the following day on Saturday, Nov. 17.
All eight teams will return to the UVI Sports and Fitness Center on Monday, Nov. 19 for the championship round. The seventh-place game will open the final day of competition at 2 p.m. AST (11 a.m. MST) with the championship game scheduled for 8:30 p.m. AST (5:30 p.m. MST).

“We’re thrilled to be part of the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands,” Oregon State head coach Wayne Tinkle said. “It’s a very competitive field and our young team will be glad to be tested so early in the season.”
This will be the first-ever meeting between Oregon State and Old Dominion. The Monarchs went 25-7 last season, including a 15-3 mark in Conference USA action.
Tournament directors are in the process of evaluating the feasibility of offering official fan travel packages for the 2018 Paradise Jam. More information will be made available in the future.
