MSUB 4×100 relay team takes fourth in Drake Relay final

DES, MOINES, IOWA – After a busy three days, the Montana State University Billings track and field team finished their Drake Relays participation on a high note as the 4×100-meter relay team placed fourth in the final.

 Lamont Frisby, Mason Schram, Kaelen Shay and Sam Zook combined to run the second-fastest time in school history finishing in 41.44. Central Missouri won the final with a time of 41.05 followed by Lincoln University (Mo.) and Iowa Western Community College.
 Currently, the Yellowjackets hold the fastest time in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with their mark of 41.49 at the Montana Open. The ‘Jackets will get one more opportunity before the GNAC championships as they head to the Dickson State Last Chance Meet next Friday in North Dakota.
 Beau Ackerman won Friday’s javelin competition in Des Moines, Iowa and Jorey Egeland took second in Thursday’s 3,000-meter steeplechase.
 Results will be posted on the Track and Field Results Reporting System after the conclusion of competition.
