BILLINGS – The Montana State University Billings baseball team is set to host Little League Weekend, running April 21-22 and featuring two full days of fun events in the Magic City.
The weekend is for children ages 6-14 and will take place at Dehler Park, featuring a Great Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader and a camp.
On Saturday, Little Leaguers dressed in their full uniforms will receive free admission (including one adult) for the Yellowjackets’ conference doubleheader against Concordia University. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. with a 9-inning game followed by a 7-inning game. After the second game, Little Leaguers will be invited to get autographs from the Yellowjacket players on the field.
The youth camp is on Sunday at Dehler Park, and is scheduled to run from noon-4 p.m. The cost is $50 per player, and the camp will be focused on learning the fundamentals of the game with players and members of the MSUB coaching staff. The camp will aim to build proper mechanics in the areas of hitting, pitching, catching, defense, and base running. Camp attendees should bring their own equipment, including a glove, bat, helmet, cleats, and a hat. Catchers are required to bring their own gear as well.

The MSUB baseball team is currently in first place in the GNAC standings with an overall record of 19-11 and a league mark of 14-6. The Yellowjackets are in action this weekend with a four-game home series against Northwest Nazarene University on Friday and Saturday at Dehler Park.
