Billings Jr. Bulls season ends in USA Hockey national quarterfinal loss

PLYMOUTH, Minn. – The Billings Junior Bulls remarkable season came to an end Sunday morning with a 5-1 loss to the Sioux City Metros in a USA Hockey Junior Nationals quarterfinal game in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Sioux City led 1-0 after two tightly contested periods, but the Metros exploded for four goals in the first 10:39 of the third to break it open.

Erik Reimche scored the Bulls’ only goal, at the 15:26 mark of the third. Sioux City had five different players score.

Billings ends its season with a 28-1 record, including going 3-0 in pool play at nationals. Sioux City advances to Sunday night’s semifinals.
