CORVALLIS, Ore. — Tres Tinkle flirted with a triple-double as Oregon State won a double-overtime thriller, 97-94, over Washington in Pac-12 men’s basketball action on Saturday.

OSU trailed for much of the game, falling behind at the 9:25 mark of the first half. Washington’s lead got to as many as 13 points midway through the second half — 67-54 — but the Beavers outscored the Huskies 26-13 over the final eight minutes to force overtime tied at 80. The teams went to the second overtime tied at 87.

OSU’s Stephen Thompson Jr. added 22 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 0.1 seconds remaining on the clock in the second overtime. The Beavers made 40 of 72 field goal attempts (55.6 percent) and nine of 19 3-point attempts (47.4 percent) as a team.
