CORVALLIS, Ore. — Tres Tinkle scored 20 points to lead a balanced Oregon State scoring attack as the Beavers ran to a 94-62 Pac-12 Conference men’s basketball win over Washington State on Thursday.

Tinkle, who was twice named the Montana Gatorade player of the year while at Missoula Hellgate High School, needed just 10 shot attempts to score his 20 points, making five field goals from the floor, including three 3-pointers. He also made seven of eight free throw attempts while filling the stat sheet with five rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block.

All five Beavers starters scored in double figures. Alfred Hollins scored a career-high 19 points, and Drew Eubanks surpassed 1,000 career points with an 18-point outing. Stephen Thompson Jr. had 16 points and Ethan Thompson added 10.

OSU broke open a 24-all tie with a 20-0 run that spanned the final four minutes of the first half and first two minutes of the second half. Tinkle had nine points in the run.

The Beavers snap a four-game losing streak with the win and improve to 12-11 overall and 4-7 in the Pac-12 Conference. OSU is at home on Saturday for an 8 p.m. (MT) tipoff against Washington.
