LARAMIE, Wyo. — Former Missoula Sentinel star Olivia Roberts scored 18 points, surpassing 1,000 for her career, in Wyoming’s 64-53 loss to Colorado State in Mountain West Conference women’s basketball action on Wednesday.

Roberts became the 24th player in Wyoming history to score 1,000 career points. She also recorded her 500th career rebound earlier this season.

The Cowgirls saw their seven-game winning streak snapped by CSU, which blew open a close game in the fourth quarter. The teams traded blows during the first three periods with Colorado State holding a 13-11 advantage after one, a 28-25 lead at half, and a 44-43 lead going to the fourth. The Rams outscored the Cowgirls 20-10 over the final 10 minutes to get the double-digit win.

Hannah Tvrdy scored a game-high 25 points for CSU, making 10 of 14 field goal attempts.

Roberts added four rebounds, two assists and block to her final stat line. UW also got 10 points from Taylor Rusk in the loss.

The Cowgirls (14-6 overall, 7-2 conference) go back on the road Saturday to face Fresno State. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. (MT).
